Amanda Gorman is a senior English: Creative Writing and Philosophy double-major at the University of Mary Washington. Helen Alston is a senior English: Creative Writing major at the University of Mary Washington. She surrenders to you her astrological sign (Sagittarius), her shoe size (9 ½), and her location (never too far from the water). Jake Baskin is an English: Creative Writing major at the University of Mary Washington. He will earn his teaching license in the fall of 2012. He is a playwright by trade, a poet at heart, and a boxer in general. He once said, “I put my pants on for this?” He thinks the best thing one can do is feel good. He encourages strangers and acquaintances alike to find the things they love to do, and are naturally gifted at, and to keep doing them, because that’s what the world needs. The world also needs quality online literary journals.
Leigh Ellis is a senior English major at the University of Mary Washington. She works as a student aide for the Division of Teaching and Learning Technology, and looks forward to her future as a best-selling author. In her free time, she thinks deep thoughts, paints badly, and nerds out to old and new video games alike. She encourages everyone, everywhere to “make art, dammit.”
